VATANI MAN
Identity Through Patterns & Colors
My graduation project, VATANI MAN: Identity Through Patterns & Colors, explores how art and design can preserve cultural identity while sparking cross-cultural conversations. By reinterpreting Tajik patterns and colors in my artwork, tradition merges with modernity. The collection is influenced by my personal journey. I worked with Tajik artisans through the Ozara NGO, a project that empowers women from vulnerable families. As part of this collaboration, patterned garments and accessories were meticulously hand-embroidered by Tajik artisans. The project is inspired by my own artistic creations and bridges traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. It proves how fashion can serve as a powerful medium for expressing cultural identity in today’s globalized world.
